Message from our
President: |

 I
joined the Lions Club 6 years ago, in this time I had
the privilege to participate in many meaningful projects
serving our society. I am especially proud of our
efforts following the Tsunami disaster, where our club
under my guidance was able start a child sponsorship
program and began to plan a child care center. Meanwhile
the child care center (Phuket
Sunshine Village) is completed and offers new hope
for many unfortunate children.
I would like to thank all participating parties and
clubs, such as Rotarians, Lions, Child Watch Phuket,
French Red Cross and all the private citizens from over
20 countries, who made this project possible! Last not
least I would like to thank our club members for their
unselfish efforts, which made this project possible.
With this project comes an enormous responsibility: It
is one thing to build the Phuket Sunshine Village, but
another to keep it running over the years. I will make
it my main priority to find funds to support our child
care center over the years and I hope that we can find
many people who will support us.
Over the years I have enjoyed friendship and fellowship
with many great individuals that I would have never been
able to meet without being a Lion. Their sacrifice,
talents and efforts in serving the society make me
really proud of being a LION. Our club has been involved
in many ambitious projects over the years, helping “the
People in Need”. I hope that we will continue this great
tradition of serving our society and bring joy and
happiness to those “Whom We Serve”.
Many thanks in advance to all these who will help and
support me to be a good president for the coming year.

the

TO BE CAREFUL with my criticism and liberal with my praise; to build
up and not destroy.
