Scholarship Project

Our club has donated 30,000 THB to a very gifted student
from Phuket to continue her high school education. She
comes from a very poor family who is not able to pay for
the school fees.

Medical Bill

Our club has donated 5,000 THB to pay for a medical bill
at Bangkok Phuket Hospital.
Miss Irene, a child from the Phuket Sunshine Village has
a Bone Disorder that required treatment, which we were
happy to take on. |

Our club has donated 15,000 THB to support an English Camp
at Koh Sireh school for almost 150 student to improve
their English skills.
The money was used for lunch, refreshments, banners,
education materials, stationary materials and
certificates. |

Royal Encyclopedia Competition

All 3 Lions Clubs from Phuket supported this annual
event where Children from various schools of Phuket show
their knowledge.

Phuket, 09.09.2008 Lions club of Phuket did represent the 4 Lion clubs of Phuket to organizing a Peace Poster Contest, the total cost of the function was 21,400 Baht, to participate, each club 5,350.00Baht |

Funeral Cost

Our club became aware of the tragic case of a man
suffering from kidney failure, who could only been kept
alive by dialyses. We decided to support this man in our
August meeting but unfortunately he died even before we
could become active. So we decided to at least support
his poor family with the cost of his funeral, 5000 THB. |

Our club donated 10,000 THB to a girl from Phuket who is suffering from a very serious heart disease. The money was used to pay for her and her family's transport cost to Had Yai, where she will be operated this month. |

Donation to Phuket Sunshine Village (PSV)

Our club donated 1,272,373 THB to the Phuket Sunshine Village Foundation. The whole amount was raised in a coordinated effort in Germany. Almost half of the amount was raised by the Gymnasium (school) Kreuzgasse in Köln, and the rest came from: Lions Club Niedernhausen, Lions Hilfswerk, Gemeindeamt Köln - West, E.Legeland, Erhard Gaß, Nabo Gaß & Rosemarie Steier |
